Overview
The Total Joint Center (TJC) at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital is a special service of the hospital, dedicated to the care of knee, hip, foot and ankle pain and treatment. Not everyone coming to the TJC needs joint replacement surgery, as many other effective treatment modalities are available. The TJC physicians always utilize the least invasive measures to treat your pain.
It is important that you get an accurate diagnosis of your pain and that your receive the appropriate treatment.
For patients who require joint replacement, the TJC provides a special program in an environment in which patients participate in a surgery recovery group that emphasizes wellness, socialization and maximizes recovery efforts. The TJC also places great emphasis on patient education through videos and written materials, strong family involvement, positive reinforcement and group support of the patients.
